Jubilee’s Nanyang Kopi (禧座南洋冰室) is a nostalgic, vintage-style Nanyang kopitiam chain is renowned for its legendary Nanyang coffee and local comfort food. The brand has its most prominent main outlet in R&F Mall and other branches at Berjaya Waterfront (Stulang Beach) and in Mall of Medini (Iskandar Puteri).

Jubilee’s Nanyang Kopi offers a wide range of traditional toasts, buns and sandwiches, including butter-kaya toasts, to go with half-boiled eggs and traditional kopi. Their signature local delights include nasi lemak with ayam berempah, mee siam, mee rebus, lei cha (擂茶), roti prata, and a long list of others.

For breakfast, don’t miss their weekday promotions, which include a traditional breakfast set comprising kopi / teh, half-boiled eggs and peanut butter toasts. I opted for kopi-O kosong as usual and added their signature Jubilee’s Bolo Bun with Butter (禧座菠萝包+牛油). The kopi-O is thick, aromatic and non-bitter. The half-boil eggs with bright orange yolks are nicely-done and served ready-to-eat. The toasts are grilled till crispy with smooth, savoury peanut and buttery flavours. Their bolo bun has a crispy “pineapple” crust sitting on a soft, fluffy bun and the slab of butter added its savoury flavour.

The Hainanese Chicken Chop (海南鸡扒) is served with a large piece of chicken steak that is fried till its batter turns crispy and spread with a thick sauce made with carrot, green pea, tomato, shallot, etc. The chicken chop is tender and juicy and has a savoury fried batter to balance the low-salt vegetable sauce. Accompanying the tasty meat are sides of fresh salad with sesame dressing and potato wedges — I added-on a fried egg — to make a hearty meal.
