Johor Eats & Buys: Kluang (柔佛.居銮)

Kluang (居銮) is a charming inland town located in the heart of Johor, roughly 110 km north of Johor Bahru. Founded in 1915, Kluang began as an administrative hub, centring around the British railway line, and also as agricultural hub surrounded by rich plantations. Today, it is famous for its coffee culture, railway heritage, street art, and nature spots.

Kluang’s food culture centres around retro railway kopitiams, traditional bakeries, and vibrant multi-ethnic hawker fare, epitomised by iconic local stops like Kluang Rail Coffee, Yean Kee Beef Noodle, and Yuen Fatt Biscuit — to name a few.
