New Dawn Hotel (旭阳酒店) is a budget hotel located near the outskirt of Pontian Kechil, but not very far from the town centre. The hotel faces the Skudai-Pontian Highway and public bus services will usually stop directly in front of it.
A Muslim-friendly restaurant, called Restoran Kemangi, is right beside New Dawn Hotel as a convenient dining option and an Econsave Supermarket is just few steps away. The hotel is also close to the new commercial estate of Pusat Perniagaan Kota Emas with shops, restaurants and a Target Supermarket.
The Standard Double Room is quite spacious, clean and all necessary amenities are in place. The room to the rear of the hotel has a small window facing a corridor and is generally quieter than the rooms facing the highway.
The wash basin is outside the bathroom and is not so cramp inside the bathroom. However, the bathroom has a translucent glass door and may not be suitable for guests sharing a room.
A fairly new hotel of few years, New Dawn Hotel is one of the better accommodations in Pontian Kechil.
