Butter Town has several flavours of the Japanese shio pan and sourdough cakes for sales. When the stall opens at 10am, all its range of shio pan can be purchased individually. When lunch-hour approaches, and long queue starts to form, the shio pan will be sold in pre-packed bags of 3 pieces per flavour or 3 / 5 pieces of the original. There is an in-store purchase limit of 12 shio pan per person.

The OG (Original) Shio Pan has a golden-brown crust, with some coarse salt on top, and is soft and fluffy inside. The bun is savoury, with a buttery interior, and is nice to munch on its own or after stuffing it with a slice of baked ham and fresh salad.

The Garlic Cheese Shio Pan has a very tempting garlicky-cheesy aroma. The bun is filled with fresh, crunchy garlic bits and minced parsley in melted butter. The crust is light-crispy with some baked cheese on it. This bun is tasty in addition to the savoury and buttery note of shio pan — oh, one is definitely not enough.

Top: The Banana Walnut Sourdough Cake — sold either as 8-inch round cake / 16-piece square / small box of 2 pieces — is more than just a walnut cake. The cakes are baked individually and have a light hint of banana aroma on crumbly cakes that are filled with crunchy walnuts within, not just on top of the cake. It is of low sweetness and with nice crunchiness on every bite.

Bottom-left: The Lemon Sourdough Cake has a moist, crumbly sourdough cake topped with white cream and some dried flower petals. The cream has intense lemony flavour giving the cake a citrusy-sweetness and subtle fragrance from the dried petals.

Bottom-right: The Spooky Sourdough Brownies, sold in 2 pieces, are ghastly-designed for Halloween. The dark brownies are lightly-dense and soft with a chocolaty flavour that is not too intense nor too sweet. The sugar icings on top give some crispiness to the brownies without increasing the overall sweetness.
