Singapore Eat: 168 CMY Satay (168春满园沙爹) @ Chinatown Complex

168 CMY Satay (168春满园沙爹) is one stall unit in the food centre of Chinatown Complex but it has two stalls that serve satay-related dishes. The stall on the left sells satays and the other stall sells satay bee hoon (沙爹米粉) and cuttlefish kang kong (鱿鱼雍菜).

The satay stall serves grilled pork, chicken and mutton satays and also ketupat (Malay rice cake). The satays have been recommended by Singapore Michelin Guide since 2016. Minimum quantity is 10 sticks per order.

The charcoal-grilled satay (pork / chicken / mutton) are well-grilled and really juicy and tender. The satay dipping sauce with finely-crushed peanut is added with pineapple puree to give the sauce some tangy-sweetness to cushion the spiciness. The sauce pair very well with the satay. Add a ketupat to make it a meal.

The other stall’s satay bee hoon and cuttlefish kang kong look nice too. I will try them next.
