Food Street Fried Kway Teow Mee has just two items on the menu — choose either fresh cockles (鲜蛤) or seafood (海鲜) for the fried kway teow mee, small / medium size and spicy / non-spicy. The serving portion of each dish is generally for one person.

The small-size Cockles Fried Kway Teow Mee (鲜蛤炒粿条面) is wok-fried using fresh cockles, fishcake slices, egg and bean sprouts with yellow noodle and flat kway teow noodle in dark sauce. This dish is neither too dry nor too wet, non-oily and with mellow wok aroma. All the noodles and ingredients are well-coated with the sweet-savoury sauce and the cockles are nicely-cooked without being too raw or overdone. Despite opting for spicy, the spiciness level is pretty mild and more to enhance the overall flavours. It is indeed a nice-tasting dish.

For those who prefer not to have fresh cockles or had tried the cockles-version before, the Seafood Fried Kway Teow Mee (海鲜炒粿条面) uses big fresh prawns and calamari in place of cockles. All other ingredients, portion, cooking method and tastes are similar and consistent with the cockles-version. The prawns are crunchy and the calamari are not overcooked and break easily. This dish is also a must to try.
