No. 1 Jingdong Roti (京东第一饼), a popular street food chain originating from eastern Beijing (“Jingdong” mean “eastern areas of Beijing”), specialises in freshly-made, Beijing-style stuffed meat pies in flaky pastries crafted using traditional preparation method. The famous brand opened its first Singapore stall in Ang Mo Kio Hub on 1 May 2026, followed by its second stall in Level 4 Kopitiam of West Mall two months later.
The AMK stall features a wider range of Chinese specialties dishes, including pork roti as one of its signature offerings. The West Mall outlet is “no pork, no lard”, offering beef, chicken and lamb as fillings for the meat pies.
The Royal Beef Roti (宫廷牛肉饼) has crispy, flaky layered pastry skin that is pretty thin and stuffed with juicy, tender beef, sweet shallots and other undisclosed ingredients, including spices, that balanced the flavours of the roti. It has nice flavour and texture and surprisingly non-greasy.
The Royal Chicken Roti (宫廷鸡肉饼) has similar flaky crust stuffed with chicken meat and, probably, similar other ingredients. The chunkier, tender chicken meat offers a slight difference in texture as compared to the beef roti.
The Lamb & Chinese Chive Roti (韭菜羊肉酥饼) is stuffed with minced lamb and Chinese chive as primary ingredients in similar crispy skin. It has mellow, balanced flavours of lamb and chive — despite both known to having naturally stronger flavours.
No. 1 Jingdong Roti’s pastries are best eaten immediately on purchase — when they are still warm — for their crispy, flaky crusts with warm fillings. If the pastries have turned cold (for take-away), reheat them slightly in an oven / air-fryer for best taste experience — beware of hot fillings after heating up.
