SipsSips offers both hot and iced traditional desserts, such as red bean soup (红豆汤), peanut soup with rice balls (花生汤汤圆), cheng tng (清汤), bubur cha cha (摩摩喳喳), ice kacang (红豆冰), mango ice (芒果冰) and newly-launched cendol. Add-ons are available for the desserts too.

The Peanut Soup Tang Yuan (花生汤汤圆), with 3 rice balls, is served lukewarm instead of hot. The peanuts are nicely-cooked till very soft yet stay in shapes rather than breaking into fine bits and pieces and the soup has nice flavour and low sweetness. Out of the 3 rice balls, I had two with black sesame fillings and one with minced peanut filling. Surprisingly, the rice ball fillings are low in sugar too. It is really nice.

The traditional Chinese Cheng Tng (清汤) is also served lukewarm with barley, snow fungus, red dates, wolf berries, longans and sago beads in clear soup that is boiled with rock sugar and pandan leaves. It has a nice aroma and mildly sweet. A nice, low-sugar dessert to have on hot days when not opting for cold stuffs. Cold Cheng Tng is available too.

SipsSips’s hot desserts are served lukewarm and low in sweetness, and well-like by many elderlies. The desserts are great for afternoon tea too.
