Tasty China (\u9526\u7ee3\u4e2d\u534e) is a restaurant serving popular local breakfast and Chinese street snacks. It is located on the ground floor of Beauty World Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant’s kitchen and service counter occupies a shop unit and the dining area is outside the shop on the concourse. Tables and seats are available inside the shop too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasty China partners with iPOT Mala Tri-Pot (\u9ebb\u8fa3\u4e09\u9505) \u2014 the latter’s main outlet is in Paya Lebar Square \u2014 to serve mala<\/em> hotpot. The restaurant also serves traditional breakfast set, steamed buns, dumplings, Chinese-style noodles, grilled skewers and also Chinese cooked and cold dishes. Note that orders for mala<\/em> hotpot is to be paid separately from dishes by Tasty China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chinese-style Braised Beef Ramen (\u7ea2\u70e7\u725b\u8169\u5200\u524a\u9762) uses handmade knife-sliced noodle in flavourful broth with beef brisket and greens. The ultra-tender beef brisket is not just pure meat but consists partially of soft tendons too. The broth has a wonderful aroma from the spices used and is mildly spicy (chilli can be added to taste separately). It is a tasty dish not to miss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ice Jelly (\u51b0\u7c89) is a Chinese dessert from Southwest China \u2014 not the typical Taiwanese dessert iced aiyu<\/em> jelly (\u7231\u7389\u51b0). The refreshing transparent jelly has chewier texture and is served on ice with dried raisins and black sesame seeds. The dried raisins are the main sauce of sweetness for the dessert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasty China’s coffee-eggs-toasts set is great for breakfast. The kaya<\/em>-butter toasts are lightly toasted and is crispy on the outside and soft inside. The spread of kaya<\/em> and butter are just enough to cover the thinly-sliced toasts without too much of them, so it is not too sweet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minced Pork Buns Steamed in Bamboo Steamer (\u9c9c\u8089\u53d1\u9762\u7af9\u7b3c\u5305), served in set of 4, are not very big and have fresh and juicy fillings. Similarly, the Premium Sauce Braised Pork Buns (\u9171\u8089\u53d1\u9762\u7af9\u7b3c\u5305), also in set of 4, offers a different flavour from the sauce used. The combination of toasts and buns makes a full breakfast or brunch \u2014 oh, their buns run out fast, especially on weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasty China’s meat skewers, such as their signature lamb skewer, lamb ribs, beef, beef tendons, pork belly, big squid, etc, are nicely grilled with tasty seasoning but not too strong in taste nor too salty and the natural tastes of meat are distinctive. The grilled beef tendon skewers are ultra-soft and very special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPOT Mala Tri-Pot (\u9ebb\u8fa3\u4e09\u9505) offers 3 types of base for their hotpots:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The spiciness level and “tongue-numbing” level can be selected as desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Mala Hot Pot (\u9ebb\u8fa3\u9999\u9505) \u2014 with 50% spiciness and 50% tongue-numbing \u2014 has very nice mala<\/em> flavours without being too spicy nor too numbing that can affect the taste of the selected ingredients. It is delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
