Anyway, me and my family revisited the restaurant again two months later to have dinner \u2014 and took nicer photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apart from typical Chinese-style braised peanuts, crispy fried fish skins are also served as titbits while waiting for the food to be ready. Crispy fried fish skins originated from the coastal areas of China, especially Hong Kong and Guangdong areas, and that is where Swatow (\u6c55\u5934) and Teochew (\u6f6e\u5dde) are located \u2014 do you know that the salted egg version was invented in Singapore?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"520\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ipacktravel.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/SwatowCity-02.jpeg\" alt=\"Swatow City (\u6c55\u5934\u57ce): Menu &amp; crispy fried fish skins\" class=\"wp-image-6374\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.ipacktravel.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/SwatowCity-02.jpeg 750w, https:\/\/blog.ipacktravel.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/SwatowCity-02-300x208.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of Swatow City&#8217;s popular dishes is their roasted ducks. We have half of a Black Truffle Roasted Duck (\u9ed1\u677e\u9732\u70e4\u9e2d). The meat has a firmer texture due to the coldness and offers a unique taste experience.
