A food stall in Restoran Yong Sheng (永升茶餐室), a coffee shop in Pekan Nanas, goes only by its Chinese name as “东兴肉骨茶” and is translated by netizens as “Tong Heng Bak Kut Teh / Dongxing Bak Kut Teh”. Located right beside Pekan Nanas Police Station along the Skudai-Pontian Highway that leads to Pontian Kechil, Tong Heng serves claypot bak kut teh (pork ribs soup) only in the morning session.

The single-portion claypot bak kut teh has lots of porky ingredients that consists of pork ribs, pig intestines, pig stomach, pig livers, pork ball, lean meat and others like enoki mushrooms, tofu skins and lettuce. The meaty ingredients are fresh and tender in a flavourful, lightly-herbal soup with a nice claypot aroma and pleasant taste. The additional side dish of preserved mustard greens is mild sweet, slight sourish and crunchy, serving as a palate cleanser between bites of the tender pork ribs and offal.
