Previously by Al-Buhari Restaurant, the Indian-Muslim food stall in Aces League 447 Coffee Shop, in Bukit Batok West, had changed owner / management to ABC Al Fajar Restaurant. However, the menu did not change and operations seem to be as usual — I will probably retry couple of dishes to know if they are the same.
The 23-hour ABC Al Fajar Restaurant occupies 3 stalls in the coffee shop, offering Indian-Muslim food, Thai seafood, Western food, chicken rice, Malay food, naan and tandoori.

The Nasi Briyani (Mutton) — available with chicken and fish too — is served with generous amount of mutton in curry sauce, a hard-boiled egg with sambal chilli and a side of fresh salad (red carrot, cucumber, shallot) on spiced long-grain basmati rice. The long-grain basmati rice may seem to be a lot but is actually one normal serving and has nice texture. The meaty mutton has few bones and tender with nice flavours and just-nice spiciness. Mutton briyani rice has always been a favourite of mine.

The Chicken Nasi Briyani is similar to the Mutton Nasi Briyani but the chicken may not necessary be a curry chicken thigh — other flavours of chicken meat can be selected. I have it with a fried chicken thigh that comes with its own sweet-spicy sauce and the basmati rice is added with mutton curry. A different curry sauce accompanies the dish — that is a total of 4 different sauces to make this a very flavourful dish. The fried chicken is crispy and tasty and makes this another delicious dish.

The Plain Roti Prata (2 pcs) is served freshly-cooked on order with a curry sauce that is not watery. The roti prata is nicely done with crispy outer layer and slight chewiness in the inner layers. This is nice as a light meal or as a staple replacement to go with other dishes, such as their mutton soup.

The Mutton Soup is a big bowl of soup with quite some amount of mutton. The spicy soup, sprinkled with minced peanuts, is concocted from many spices including turmeric, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, pepper, etc. It has a stronger turmeric-pepper taste that induces spiciness in the soup. The lean mutton is very tender with no gamey taste — personally, I prefer mutton to retain some gamey flavour. The flavourful soup can be paired with roti prata.

The dishes that I have tried at ABC Al Fajar Restaurant so far are flavourful and can be quite hearty. There is still a long list to go.
