Kedai Mee Ah Chuan (亚泉面店) is one of the many eateries in Pontian that serves wanton noodle, especially the Pontian-style tomato-sauce wanton noodle. Ah Chuan has been offering their traditional wanton noodle since 1948. The eatery is located near to the new business cluster at Kota Emas along the Skudai-Pontian Highway.

Ah Chuan’s signature dish is their red chilli tomato-sauce wanton noodle. The noodle dish uses thin egg noodle topped with their “flying” char siew (barbecue pork) and five wantons (meat dumplings) in a bowl of soup. The noodle has springy and chewy texture in the sweet-spicy sauce and the char siew is thinly-sliced to ensue its tenderness and juiciness on chewy. The wantons are of reasonable size and quite meaty.

Ah Chuan’s Pontian-style wanton noodle is nice-tasting and cheap with generous amount of ingredients.
