Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle Rice (香港玫瑰油鸡面饭) is one of the many food stalls in the foodcourt on the 4th floor of Beauty World Centre. The stall serves Cantonese-style soya sauce chicken with noodle / rice as its signature dish with a list of other dishes, such as char siew noodle, char siew chicken noodle, wanton noodle, beef brisket noodle, etc. The stall is never without a queue during lunch time, so either expect to queue at noon time or go after 2pm.
I usually order their Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle added with char siew (barbecue pork). The soya sauce chicken is smooth and very tender. The well-marinated barbecue pork is tender too. The springy noodle is accompanied by a light sauce with distinctive rose flavour. The noodle dish is a flavourful option.
Another way to have the soya sauce chicken is with chicken rice that is flavoured with chicken stock. Gather a group of 4~6 pax and go for a whole chicken. It is the best way to try the different parts of the smooth and tender soya sauce chicken.
An order of Shrimp Dumplings, in soup or with dry-style noodle, is served with 3 pieces of the big shrimp dumplings, each wrapped with generous amount of whole prawns and minced meat. Savour the crunchiness of the fresh prawn and juicy meat on each bite!
The shrimp dumplings are so good that some people are buying them in frozen packages directly from the stall to self-cook at home.
