Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff (东陵酥皮咖喱角), established since 1952 and located in Hong Lim Market & Food Centre, was rebranded as Heritage Tanglin Puff (东陵咖喱角) in 2025. Heritage Tanglin Puff serves handmade fat curry puffs. There are four “All-time Favourites” flavours: Curry Chicken Potato with Egg, Sardine Potato, Spicy Otah Paste and Taro Orh-Nee. Newer flavours include Black Pepper Chicken Mushroom Curry and Rendang. Aside from curry puffs, there are also rissoles using prawn / chicken.

The Singapore Heritage Brand has also expanded to having several branches across Singapore. On the west side of Singapore, outlets were opened in Tengah Bus Interchange and Beauty World Food Centre.

All the crispy puffs have the same flaky layered crusts and are marked differently to identify them. The signature Curry Chicken Potato with Egg Puffs are unmarked and Sardine Potato Puffs are marked by a single, small red dot. Both are pioneer creations.

Spicy Otah Puffs are marked by large red dots and Taro Puffs has a single green dot.

Top-left: The Curry Chicken Potato with Egg Puff has potato, chicken and hard-boiled egg and is mild-spicy with nice flavours.
Top-right: The Sardine Potato Puff has a filling of potato, sardine and onion and is mildly sweet.
Bottom-left: The Spicy Otah Paste Puff has sweet-spicy otak-otak as its filling, spicier than the Curry Chicken Puff and is delicious too.
Bottom-right: The Taro Orh-Nee Puff is rather unique. Somewhat similar to kaya puff, it is yam paste stuffed in curry puff and has natural sweetness and yam flavour.

The Rendang Chicken Puff has similarly ingredients for its filling as the Curry Chicken Potato with Egg Puff but with different flavours. The ingredients are slow-cook (called “rendang“) in curry and has a spicier taste note than the curry chicken puff. This is a great option for those who prefer sweet and spicier puffs.

Heritage Tanglin Puff’s curry puffs are great snacks to have with coffee or tea or for gatherings. I missed the black pepper chicken puff as it was always sold out — will find an opportunity to try it again since there are new outlets in the west.
