Sweet Blossom Coffee Roasters, a coffee roaster in Johor Bahru, sources their specialty coffee beans through blind tasting for great tasting coffees and offers the self-roasted beans to coffee-lovers who self-brew their coffees. The roaster is located in Taman Pelangi, a stone’s throw from Plaza Pelangi. In October 2025, Sweet Blossom opened its second outlet in Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Walk.
The roaster is also a cafe serving coffee only — mainly for coffee-lovers to taste their roasted coffee beans before buying them. Customers are welcomed to have western or hand-brew coffee and relax in the cafe.
Going for hand-brew filtered coffee at Sweet Blossom is the best way to appreciate the cafe’s freshly-roasted specialty coffee beans. They carry different types of bean, which change frequently depending on seasonal availability. Apart from filtered coffee, Sweet Blossom also serves espresso, black and white coffees.
I visit Sweet Blossom Coffee Roasters to get coffee beans for self-brewing at home. On one visit, I bought two bags of coffee beans: Hacienda Corey from Costa Rica and La Laja from Columbia. Sweet Blossom’s coffee beans are usually light-roasted to bring out the bright flavours of the beans.
Now, I have three coffee roasters, with total of 4 spots in Johor Bahru, in my pocket list for fresh coffee beans to self-brew at home.
