Singapore Eat: Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun (伟少港式肠粉) @ Bukit Batok

Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun (伟少港式肠粉) specialises in Hong Kong-style chee cheong fun, a traditional rice noodle roll. There are several Chef Wei outlets across Singapore and the Bukit Batok branch is located in Get Together Coffee Shop in Bukit Batok West.

Chef Wei offers various handmade chee cheong fun dishes with different fillings, or just plain, freshly-made on orders. They have also rolled out new flavours (curry, egg or seafood peanut sauce) for any of the rice roll dishes. The stall serves several dim sum dishes too.

The Beef Cheong Fun (港式牛肉肠粉) has slices of beef rolled with spring onions in cheong fun and flavoured with savoury light sauce and roasted sesame seeds. The succulent beef adds texture to the soft rice rolls and makes the dish filling and tasty. Cheong fun with beef is unique and delicious.

The Char Siew Cheong Fun (港式叉烧肠粉), added with curry sauce, has tender char siew rolled in cheong fun and optionally topped with sesame seeds, spring onions and fried shallots for more flavours. The curry sauce, without coconut milk, has distinctive flavours of spices and not spicy. Crispy chilli paste can be added for more flavours. This dish has so much flavours and deliciously tasty.
