The Reef Island Resort is a fairly-new resort hotel located on the eastern coast of Mactan Island in Lapu-Lapu City of Cebu, The Philippines. It is about 9Km from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, which is also on the same island.
The Lobby is wide and spacious. Checking in and out are done here.
Our twin-sharing room is rather spacious with a balcony that faces the sea.
The resort provides a great view of the seafront from the high floors.
Going for a swim? The resort has its own private beach and some water activities, such as snorkelling, canoeing, etc, are also available for its guests. Two infinity pools and a shallower children’s pool are located within the resort’s premise. When the weather is hot, taking a dip in the infinity pool or swimming in the sea are ways to spend time at the resort.
When the sky is not cloudy at around 5pm, it is possible to capture a great view of the sunset from the beach, the swimming pools and west-facing rooms. Sunrise at 6:30am is also a great view.
Breakfast is served at The Kitchen from 6:30am onwards. All-day dining featuring Southeast Asian cuisine and local dishes are also available here with indoor and outdoor seats overlooking the shores of Mactan. Above The Kitchen is The Lounge where guests can have some drinks or cocktails, especially in the evening.
Breakfast with a wide spread of international cuisine and local options is always something to look forward to in the morning.
With such a sumptuous breakfast every morning, I am prepared to skip any lunch — except Filipino/Cebu local dishes.
The Bakery is a cafe and features handcrafted breads, pastries, and gourmet coffees. It has limited opening hours though — opening usually in the afternoon. There are burgers and pizzas too. Above The Bakery is The Gym.
The Reef Island Resort has most of the necessary facilities to cater for its guests within its premise. And Mactan New Town, with supermarkets, restaurants and shopping malls, is around 2Km away.
