Marko Coffee (麦口咖啡), founded in 2020, is a Macau-based coffee company known for its “Marko Classic Blend” which draws on 40 years of coffee production experience from its technical director. With advanced Western roasting techniques and stringent quality control, they have gained recognition from F&B enterprises and expanded their reach to Mainland China in 2023.
Marko Coffee’s main cafe-cum-retail outlet is located along São Paulo Street (大三巴街总店), very near to the Ruins of St. Paul. The cafe offers a sitting area for trying their coffees before buying the coffee beans or ground coffee. Special coffees, specialty beverages and light bites, including pastries and pork chop buns, are also available.

Their coffee product lines include 4 types of LightHouse Coffee brand — comprising Hawaii Kona, Golden Mandheling, Sai Tan Mo, and Low Caffein — roasted imported beans and also their classic blends. The coffee beans / ground are sold either in unique tin cans or bags in various sizes.

First time visiting the outlet, I bought a 227-gram bag of their heritage classic blend (传承豆) — which uses 5 types of coffee beans to blend. It has a nice and irresistible aroma.

The classic coffee blend is medium-roasted with a nice golden-brown colour — it is freshly-roasted with an oily appearance. After brewing, the final cup carries similar nice aroma of the blended beans and full-bodied taste profile with low bitterness and mellow coffee sweetness.

Other than Macau’s famous traditional almond cookies and snacks, Marko Coffee’s coffee products are great for self-brewing or as gifts for coffee enthusiasts.
