777 Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee (777炒福建虾面) is a popular Singapore-style Hokkien mee stall in Broadway Coffee Shop in Bukit Batok West Shopping Centre. The stall serves primarily two versions of fried Hokkien prawn mee — one with roasted pork and the other without. In 2024, fried kway teow was added to their menu. It is one stall with two popular Singaporean favourites.

The Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee (炒福建虾面) is served with thick rice vermicelli and yellow noodle stir-fried with egg in savoury gravy and is added with fresh prawns, slices of faux abalone (made with squids) and shreds of pork belly meat. The not-too-wet noodle dish is accompanied by a lime and spicy chilli for additional citrusy-spicy flavours. The faux abalone also plays a part in enhancing the dish with its unique flavour. It is a delicious dish that I have eaten countless times.

The Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee + Roasted Pork (炒福建虾面+烧肉) is the same Hokkien prawn mee (as above) with same level of savouriness and added with cuts of roasted pork. The lightly-roasted roasted pork has retained the tenderness and juiciness of the meat and is not too salty — heavily-roasted roasted pork tends to be crispier and saltier and will require the saltiness of the noodle dish to be reduced. It is the same delicious Hokkien mee with additional roasty-savoury taste of roasted pork.

The Fried Kway Teow (炒粿条) with a mix of thick flat noodle and yellow noodle is stir-fried with eggs, slices of fishcake, beansprouts and fresh cockles. The sweet-savoury fried noodle is tasty, nice wok-aroma and the cockles are nicely-cooked, not too raw nor overcooked. It is another nice dish and has a familiar taste though — I seemed to have tasted similar dish at another stall that had closed. Anyway, enjoy what is good!

The delicious fried Hokkien prawn mee and fried kway teow are good reasons why I dined very often at 777 Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee stall.
