In Johor Bahru, a number of shopping malls are located along the Skudai Highway, which stretches from the road intersection near Johor Zoo to Senai in Kulai District. The more notable and popular ones with Singapore residents are Beletime Danga Bay, Angsana Mall, Paradigm Mall and also Sutera Mall — the latter is not exactly beside the highway but not too far off.
Before 30th September 2025, getting to the above-mentioned shopping malls were by means of using some or all of myBAS T30 / T31 / T32 / T33 from JB Sentral Bus Terminal but there was no direct service to Sutera Mall. Located in Taman Sutera Utama, in Skudai, just beside the Skudai Highway, Sutera Mall used to be serviced only by CW3S / CW4S after crossing the border from Singapore via Tuas Checkpoint.

BAS.MY J34
On 30 September 2025, a new bus service, BAS.MY J34, was introduced to reach Sutera Mall — and the other shopping malls — directly from JB Sentral. This becomes a cheap and convenient way for Singapore residents crossing the border via Woodlands Checkpoint to get to the mall.

BAS.MY J34 will depart from JB Sentral Bus Bay 3, with a service interval of 20 minutes, and travel to Beletime Danga Bay (on-side), followed by B5 Johor Street Market (opposite) — and walk to Angsana Mall — and Paradigm Mall (opposite) before the last stop at Sutera Mall, then it goes to a bus hub behind Sutera Mall and wait for the next scheduled trip. The bus fare fromJB Sentral to Sutera Mall and return is RM2.70 (max. fare is RM2.80) as Sutera Mall is not the final stop.
On the return journey from Sutera Mall, the service will stop at Paradigm Mall (on-side), followed by B5 Johor Street Market / Angsana Mall (on-side) and then Beletime Danga Bay (opposite) — AND at POS Malaysia near to Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Walk — before terminating at JB Sentral.

At the bus stop near B5 Johor Street Market, there is a bus service, BAS.MY J16 to Larkin Sentral followed by Toppen Shopping Centre.

With the new implementation, it is now easier to plan a “mall-hopping” day trip to visit more than one shopping mall using BAS.MY J34 with short stops at Beletime Danga Bay, then Sutera Mall, and Paradigm Mall / Angsana Mall or both, and ending the circuit at Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Walk — a street full of restaurants, cafes and bakeries.
