Taman Sentosa (大丰花园), or “JB Sentosa”, is not unfamiliar to many Singaporeans who visit the estate, in Johor Bahru, for its large number of diverse local eating options. Many restaurants, coffee shops and cafes can be found around the ex-Plaza Sentosa (closed down for re-development) and along the whole stretch of Jalan Sutera. Aside from eating places, there are food shops selling local products, bakeries, etc, and supermarkets too.
Taman Melodies (美乐花园) is a residential estate opposite Taman Sentosa on the other side of Tebrau Highway. Some of the bungalows in the area have been converted to house spacious restaurants and cafes. There are shophouses and coffee shops within the estate too.
And, Mid Valley Southkey Mall sits in an area known as Kota Southkey to the north of Taman Sentosa, offering more options.
