The town of Permas Jaya (百万镇), in Masai sub-district, is another food haven in Johor Bahru known to many Singapore residents. It is situated on the other side of Sungai Tebrau (Tebrau River), less than 8Km from JB CIQ.
Most visitors to Permas Jaya are there mainly for AEON Mall Permas Jaya with a large supermarket and foodcourt, the pasar malam (night market) on Sunday evenings and the numerous dining options around the area.
