JB City Square Shopping Centre is located in Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC) — also called the “downtown area” — right next to the Singapore-Johor Causeway and JB Sentral / JB CIQ customs checkpoint. It is a popular destination for visitors from Singapore and locals, offering over 200 retailers, diverse dining, entertainment (cinema/karaoke), and a unique “Inner City” shopping area. Right beside JB City Square is KOMTAR JBCC, another shopping complex with more retail shops and restaurants.
JB City Square is undergoing phased renovation and expected to finish by late 2027 / early 2028. Some shops / restaurants may close temporary or move out permanently while some may still be opened for business as usual. Expect changes in its tenants till the end of the renovation period.
Both JB City Square and KOMTAR JBCC offer easy access to dining options for locals and tourists going to / from Singapore.
