Singapore Eat: Born Hokkien Prawn Mee (文文福建炒虾面) @ Bukit Batok

Born Hokkien Prawn Mee (文文福建炒虾面) is a noodle stall located in Chang Cheng Mee Wah Coffeeshop (长城美华咖啡店), a coffee shop below Block 324 in Hong Kah North of Bukit Batok. The stall offers mainly Singapore-style Hokkien prawn mee and extra ingredients (calamari, prawn or pork belly) can be added for a small charge.

Born Hokkien Prawn Mee (文文福建炒虾面) @ Bukit Batok

The Hokkien Prawn Mee (福建炒虾面) uses yellow noodle and medium-thickness rice vermicelli, instead of the typical thick one, to stir-fry with prawns, sotong (calamari), shreds of pork belly meat, egg, and topped with crispy fried pork lard, lime and sambal chilli. The noodle combination is unusual and gives the Hokkien mee a different texture from others. The taste is very nice too.
