Singapore Eat: Yong Heng Fried Squid Prawn Mee (永兴苏东虾面.福建炒) @ Bukit Batok

Yong Heng Fried Squid Prawn Mee (永兴苏东虾面.福建炒) is one of the two food stalls in Bukit Batok West Shopping Centre that serves Singapore-style Hokkien mee. The stall is well-known for its Hokkien prawn mee with squids, the only dish served but with various sizes.

The Fried Squid Prawn Mee is served with thick yellow noodle and thick rice vermicelli stir-fried with eggs in a delicate gravy that is not too wet. The moist noodle dish is topped with prawns, squids and slices of lean pork, accompanied by a lime and homemade sambal chilli for additional flavours. The dish has a nice savoury flavour and further enhanced by citrusy lime juice and not-too-spicy sambal chilli. Adding of crispy fried pork lard is optional and self-service.
