Bukit Batok (武吉巴督) is a matured residential town in the west region of Singapore with Bukit Timah to its east, Choa Chu Kang to the north, Jurong East to its South and the new Tengah estate to the west. Being one of the most populous towns in Singapore, it has large number of eating places in all corners waiting to be uncovered.
As a resident of Bukit Batok, I made my neighbourhood, and the new Tengah estate, hunting grounds to hunt for nice food — in addition to my on-going food hunts around Bukit Timah, Beauty World and in Chinatown. Having daily meals do not have to be restricted to eating places nearest to my home, but not taking an hour to reach also.
The scope of my food hunt in Bukit Batok will be limited to several sub-zones, including Bukit Batok Central (West Mall), Bukit Batok West (Bukit Batok West Shopping Centre, Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre), Bukit Batok East, Bukit Batok South (including Bukit Batok Industrial Park), Hong Kah North and Bukit Gombak — basing on street names bearing the words “Bukit Batok” rather than the official definition of “Bukit Batok Planning Area” in the National Library.
Eating Places
Below is a list of eating places (coffee shops, restaurants, cafes and inside shopping malls) within Bukit Batok that I/we have visited. It will be a very long list as I/we continue to explore the town and try out different eating places.
Note: Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre and Bukit Batok West Shopping Centre are two separate entities located about 1Km apart — don’t mixed them up!
